Have a SMOOTHER Transition Stage of Labor

How the KICO Method can Help Your Childbirth

If you have heard that the transition stage of labor is the most challenging, I have some tips to help you harness your inner strength and birth like a bada$$!

The transition stage of labor is most often referred to as the most challenging stage by birth workers because it is the stage immediately before pushing and can sometimes be the hardest mentally for the mother to bear.

Why?

  • You are tired, it’s likely been a long labor.

  • You need rest to save up energy for the pushing stage, but, rest can be elusive.

  • Movement is incredibly valuable in transition, but, a lot of mothers do not know how to move to help their baby descend through that final pelvic level.

One of the best movements you can do to help your pelvis open up to 20% wider and assist your baby’s downward movement through your pelvis is the KICO Method.
